AAPSU urged state government to provide fund for renovation of schools

NAMSAI, Jun 30 : Inspecting the Jona-2 and Samuguri government-run schools under Namsai district, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) on Thursday urged the state government to provide adequate funds  for renovation of the schools.

The initiation was made from team AAPSU after inspecting the said schools, wherein the team found that the schools are in very bad shape with poor facilities and infrastructures.

The team also found that the school is running under broken ceiling & floor, unstable blackboard and unhygienic toilets, said AAPSU IPR secretary Tate Tayem.

Stating, as recently Namsai district have received an additional amount of Rs. 5 crore from National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog for securing the first rank in the overall performance in the month of April 2022, the entire government run schools must be look after equally, he added.

Team AAPSU would be meeting with the representatives of the state government on the same issues, said Tayem.
