AAPFWU served a seven days ultimatum for regular payment of the monthly salary of contingency workers

ITANAGAR, All Arunachal Pradesh Forest Worker Union (AAPFWU) served seven days ultimatum to department of environment and Forest, Itanagar demanding fulfill their charter of demand including regularization of contingency labour of forest department, payments of wages to be credited in every first week of every month and immediate renovation of existing labour barrack.

Addressing newsperson here today at Arunachal Press club (APC),   AAPFWU president Lindum Bagap said that we repeatedly submitting our representation to forest department in regards to our four points charter of demands and also highlighted our problems facing due to delaying of salary and not conducting timely Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) which result many senior labourers/workers yet to regularize and getting their due promotion and job security. He said.

Due to not receipt of monthly salary timely and regularly the labourers community has to face several untold problems which include the payment on house rent, school fees of children’s timely and other issues. He said 

Recently we have also conducted a peace full dharna at Tennis Court IG park, but till date no response from the department has been seen nor we have been invited by the department for a resolution and solution of the salary payment of workers. He said.

And on 1st November we have submitted our second ultimatum, if department failed to response our demand given time we will be start our rigorous democratic movements from 9th November next in form of rally , dharna etc and even go for boycotting the works for next three days. Bagap added.        

 It is mentioned that there are more than one thousand five hundred contingency workers serving in forest departments across the state.
