BANDERDEWA, The corporator of Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Kipa Loram has written to circle officer of the Banderdewa seeking demarcation of the 15 mtrs ROW of NH 15 along the Arunachal side from Doli Kato road to Dikrong bridge here under Papum Pare district. In his letter, the corporator who represents ward number 20 urged the CO to constitute a team of Mondal, police personnel, and other officials to carry out the eviction drive at the earliest.
Earlier on October 12, the CO cum executive magistrate Banderdewa Laxmi Dodum issued an order directing all concerned to remove illegal structures from Doli Kato road to Dkirong bridge within 14 days of issue of the order. The order was issued after receiving a letter from deputy commissioner ICR for eviction of illegally constructed structures within 15 metres of ROW of NH 15 on Arunachal side which was requested by executive engineer PWD, Nagaon NH division, Assam. The request has been in view of the ongoing construction of NH 15.
There has been traffic congestion near the banderdewa checkgate however the national highway on the Assam side has been developed but on the Arunachal side is remaining, once the road is developed there would be sufficient space for smooth flowing of traffic movement etc. Loram added.
