8th CM sub veteran & Veteran state ranking badminton tournament 2021 kick off

DOIMUKH, The local MLA and advisor to Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Veterinary Tana Hali Tara on Wednesday kick off the 8th Chief Minister  sub-veteran and veteran state ranking badminton tournament, 2021 at Rona badminton club (RBC) in presence of several eminent personalities and sports lovers. 

The tournament has been organized by Papum Pare district badminton association (PPDBA) under the aegis of Arunachal state badminton association (ASBA). A total of 198 participants will be playing several events of age catogery right from 40 years, 45 years, 50 years and 55 years and above. As per information several top leaders, businessmen, politician and top officials of state government including the chief engines’ and other senior police and civil officers of state government will try their luck from December 8 to 11.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the MLA cum advisor Tan Hali Tara said that  it is a happy moment for all the veteran to play any types of games and sport to remain fit and fine and maintain fitness. We all should try to taek part in sports as games and sports are being given importance these days as it has become a profession. 

“ I will also support games and sports as I was a players during my school and young age” “ we as a leader should support the promotion of games and sports in state as it is a need of hour to divert the mind and attachment of the today youths from the clutch of the drug” Hali said. 

“ I have announced to award with a sum of Rs. 1 lakhs for the state level winner from my assembly constituency and also at nation  level for these games to boos of the morals of the players so that they will play well and bring laural for the state and country” Hali added.

Referring to the memorandum submitted to him, Hali said that I will apprise and bring the attention of the state government. Hali further said.

Guest of honour, PWD Naharlagun Division Executive Engineer Tana Nekam Tara said that the state has produced several players including La Talar and other but we have to emphasis our youngster to play any types of games and sports as an health awareness to remain fit and fine with a healthy body and sound mind. Nekam said.

Fitness is one of the most important and basic need of life to remain many years so I will always emphasis and request the people of all age group for daily exercise and play games. 

Special Guest, Bamang Tago also spoke to the players and motivated them to play well and maintain fitness and also bring laurel for the district, state and nation. He said that three women players who were winners of state level and national elvel has also bring medals for the country recently at world level, it is  pride for every one that the games and sports are part of live and very one should try to play one games and sports and also appeal to take parts in tournament and championship. 

Match commissioner, P Bagra said that 198 players are playing this 8th state ranking tournament, all together players from 18 district including the Arunachal Pradesh police control board. Several senior officers and badminton lovers are also here to motivate the players which will help them to create awareness among the youths and youngsters. Several coaches and technical’s of ASBA are supporting the more than 230 events and 290 matches.  

 Former Sports Minister Dr. Mohesh Chai, several officers and badminton lovers and players were present on the occasion.
