ITANAGAR, SEPTEMBER 10 : As per information Three lakh twenty three thousand eight hundred seventy eight (3,23,878) illegible and genuine voters/electors have linked their voter card with Aadhar link. Said Nirvachan Bhawan sources.
The Deputy Chief Election officer (DCEO) Liken Koyu inform this daily that as per the direction of election commission of India (ECI) and central government to curb the bogus voting and stop fake voting and allow the genuine voters the linking of Aadhar has been made and the general people are availing the opportunity and benefit. He said.
The main motto of introducing the system is to make “ One man one vote” said Koyu.
Accordingly the district election officers in respective district has been conducting the camps in various parts under their respective areas as well creating awareness among the voters and general public. Said DCEO Koyu.
Anyone illegible voters can link their election voter card with Aadhar within five minute and the process is also easy, individuals can also enrolled themselves alone. Let your Aadhar Card be Friends with your Voter Card. You can submit link it by submitting Form-6B through *Voter Helpline Mobile App*, web voterportal.eci.goc.in. You can also submit Form-6B to your BLO and ERO. Said DCEO Koyu.
The district election authority inform that three Aadhar link camp were held one at Borum which was inaugurated by Itanagar local MLA Techi Kaso, another camp was organised at Raj bhawan and the third camp was held at Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly (APLA) on Sept 6th, 7th & 8th September respectively. Hundreds of voters availed the opportunity.
APLA Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte has appeal the genuine voters to avail the opportunity and get enrolled the Aadhar link of their voter card and become the genuine voters and promote the slogan of ‘One man one vote’.
As per information, lawmaker Techi Kaso, Phoshum Khimhun, CZ Namchoom, Kamlung Mossang, Laissam Simai, Samlung Mossang and other lawmaker and officers and officials of Assembly, Rajbhawn and other avail the opportunity.
As per information available till Sept 9th 2022, eight lakhs twenty thousand two hundred sixty eight (820268) electors are in state and three lakhs twenty three eight hundred seventy eight (323878) voters had link their voter card with Aadhar link in Arunachal Pradesh.
The district having highest enrolment are Lower Dibang Valley with 23754 voters 15656 have link with Aadhar with 65.91%, followed by Changlang with 64620 voters and 41014 have linked with Aadhar with 63.47% followed by Upper Siang having 23422 electors have enrolled 12967 with 55.36%.
