ITANAGAR, The Table Tennis Arunachal (TTA) is gearing up to conduct the 2nd Kalikho Pul Memorial State Table Tennis Championship-2021 on 28th and 29th October next in state capital.
The TTA in a press conference held here today disclosed that about 15 Districts and 5 institutions are presently affiliated to the TTA who will be participating in the state level tournament for better promotion of the table tennis gaems in state capital.
TTA, President Kamta Lapung said that that the organization which was formed for promotion and development of the TT sport in the state. TTA is affiliated to Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) and Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA), The TTA has organized 7 tournaments in the state so far and has participated in about 16 national level tournaments. He said.
Passang Dorjee Megechi, Secretary of the TTA informed that the competition will have four categories; Cadet boys & girls (singles), Sub-junior boys & girls (singles & doubles), Junior boys & girls (singles & doubles) and Senior men & women (singles & doubles – team event).
Technical Director of TTA, Gourey Oinam informed that all the participating districts and institution are to clear their annual affiliation fee prior to the tournament.
The registration fee for the teams is nominal and also the fees for fooding has to be bear, The winners, runners up and the 2nd runners up of each category will be awarded with medals, cash reward and certificates informed Oinam.
We will look forward that the denizens of capital complex would be able to witness good games of Tennis.
