“I will visit all the schools of the capital complex uninformed”, the school authority should be prepared for the same : DC Talo Potom

NAHARLAGUN, I will make an extensive visit to all the schools of the capital complex without any intimation of the school authority to inspect the day to day activities of the school and the mid day meal being given to the children.  Informed Capital Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom.

I have started with visiting the school from today and the 1st school I visited today is Government Higher secondary school Polo colony, this is an old school and there are some problems and the school authority has submitted a memorandum in this regard which will be forwarded to the higher authority. He said.

The Deputy commissioner conference held at Namsai held wherein several important discussions and directions were given to the deputy commissioner to overview and check the activities in the respective district for better development of education scenario and welfare of the students, teaching fraternity and general masses as a whole. A direction was also given that all deputy commissioners had to visit school and check the mid day meal (MDM) given to the school children. Here I find it is good and the school authority including an officer incharge exclusively for the purpose is there who is also monitoring the same. He said.

When asked about the development of infrastructure of school in the capital complex as the state govt. has declared year of education, Potom said that we have received proposal from almost all the schools of capital complex and it is around Rs. 100 crore and it would not be possible form the district level, since I have a fund of around 25 lakhs which has been provided to the DDSE for making urgent and important works in the school campus. Potom added.

IMC Corporator Tadar Hangi, School Managing committee Chairman KIpa Tuglo, Principal Momik Boje Kamki, Vice Principal Nang Ekthani Mounglang among others also discussed during a development meeting held at the school campus.

DC inspected the classrooms and school campus and interacted with the school children in various ongoing classes.
