Three Days First Aid Training held by  Indian Red Cross Society, Arunachal Pradesh at Kharsang Oil field 

ITANAGAR, May 1 : The Indian Red Cross Society Arunachal Pradesh State Branch has conducted First Aid Training (Certificate Course) at Kharsang Oil Field in Kharsang Oil Field at Changlang District Arunachal Pradesh of total 20 Participants from Oil Field has benefited. A press release for the NGO said.

The Resource person was Dr. Marli Ette, Nodal Officer (First Aid Training, IRCSAPSB) , Dr. Kemba Padu, Assistant Prof. (Emergency & Trauma Medicine) TRIHMS and an official Mr. Karli Lollen, State Finance Manager, IRCSAPSB.

The inaugural session was flagged off with registration of officials and participants. The programme was started with a welcome and introductory note by Dr. A. Talukdarr, Medical Superintendent, GeoEnpro Petroleum Ltd.

Secondly, Dr. Marli Ette, Nodal Officer (First Aid Training, IRCSAPSB has brief the history of Red Cross and the importance & Principal of First Aid Training. He stated that being the workers in Oil mine it’s more important to know about the First Aid Training ,When it comes to more serious injuries, first aid provides an essential role in keeping a casualty from getting worse and helps to stabilize their condition before professional help can arrive.

Thirdly, Dr. Kemba Padu, Assistant Prof. (Emergency & Trauma Medicine) TRIHMS had taken the theoretical session as well as showing practical demonstration to the workers. He further teaches how to do a correct CPR, How to help shock and Chocking people to the Workers. Dr. Padu also gives the knowledge regarding the Bone injuries and their first Aid help and some of various Topic covered by him are Burnt injuries, Snake bites, Electric shock, bone fracture etc.

Lastly, on the last day of First Aid Training, Dr. Marli Ette, Nodal Officer (First Aid Training, IRCSAPSB gave a vote of thanks and also informed that any organization/University/College/School/NGO can contact us for First Aid Training.
