The story of one of Sino-India bordering villages ” Mago” in Tawang district which sees a pace of development after road connectivity.

MAGO, Apr 24 : The Mago village, one of the last villages bordering Sino-India bordering Jang-Mukto assembly constituency of Tawang district, is seen pace of development but needs more for better development.

The village having around 86 houses having a Primary School for decades but need to be upgraded as the nearest ME school is around 50 KM was not having any road but now the village has been connected with all weather road and now the road is being strengthened and carpeting has already done and few portion of road is still to be carpeted and few portion of road is being strengthened and soon the village will have a good road and the pace of development will began in full stage and village will see a sea change of development like of other village of state and country is being witnessed.

Though Mago village has a medical sub-centre but needs a regular doctor to cater to the needs of the patients of the area but since the medical sub-centre is being managed by an attendant and the local villagers appeal the health department and state government to post one regular medical officer.

The village was though managed by a small HPD to provide power supply to the villagers and nearby residents as well as nearby established defense forces camps but another small HPD is under construction but the local appeal the state government to strengthened the power supply and power scenario of one of the last border village in Tawang district of western Arunachal Pradesh.

An Inspection bungalow constructed earlier but a new IB constructed recently and both IB need to be strengthened with necessary facilities and amenities.

The villagers hardly engaged themselves in agriculture due to unavailability of fertile land and most of the land of the village and nearby Mago village is rocky however the villagers do carry out horticulture activities which need support and cooperation from the Agriculture and Horticulture department respectively.

After getting all weather road which will soon be carpeted soon by the executing agency who has pressed man and machine for early completion of the road project which connect Jang administration cocle for all round development as well as carrying of artillery and security forces to border outpost ahead which include Chuna, Lungur etc.

Due to emergence of digital era the Mago village is yet to be connected by mobile towers, mobile services and internet facility and as there has been under construction of mobile tower across the state so the state government should also see that the border village Mago also get mobile and internet service and the facility like of DBTL, banking and other facilities reached to the needed family member of far flung and remote village of Mago.

The Gram Panchayat members and locals of Mago village has shared this information to this scribe so that the double engine government rule by BJP at center and state take care and implement its priority schemes of connectivity, rural development, economic sustainability, atma nirbhar, beti bachao beti padhao, Jal Jivan mission, PMAY, PM ujjwala yojana etc reached properly.

Though former Chief Minister Late Dorjee Khamdu was the legislature of the said assembly constituency and at present his son Pema Khandu is legislature and chief minister representing who used to visit the area and meet the locals. The locals had satisfaction on Pema Khandu for carrying for their needs and sought more concentration to the border village Mago.
