The DBT-APSCS&T centre for Bio resource is likely to be inaugurated on April 24


KIMIN, APRIL 18: The DBT-APSCS&T centre for Bio resources and sustainable development, Arunachal Pradesh constructed at Kimin in Papum Pare district is likely to be inaugurated on April 24. Informed an official. 

Arunachal Pradesh state council for science & Technology Chairman Bamang Mangha inform the press that the team of officers of the department today has visited and inspected the up-to-date progress of the work of the building. It is found that the most of the work is completed and finishing touch are being given and decoration activities are being done. The Union Minister for Science & technology and Health and Family Welfare Dr. Harshavardhan  is likely to inaugurated the project. He said.

The foundation stone of the project was also laid by himself and it is a happy movement that he will inaugurated the building. This centre will cater to the needs of biotechnological intervention in conservation and sustainable utilization of bio-resource  toward improving socio-economic status of people of Arunachal Pradesh. He said. 

Several plan and policy has been prepared and research activities has been initiated in the centre which would not help only the research scholars of state but would support the students of several university and college who has no proper set of laboratory in their respective institution. He said.

The scientist and officers and officials of the centre will carry out several study and research work in the state of art building. 

Director, CD Mungyak inform that all preparation is almost over and we are planning accordingly and all system are being upgraded and laboratory are also being setup as per feasibility.

The Project Director, Dr. Debajit Mahanta inform that all the scientist form across the region will taek part in research work on several bio resource of state. research work will also takes place keeping in view of huge presence of natural resource, flora and fauna herbal and medicinal plants. He said.
