The body of the FTI workers found in a pond has been handed over the family members- Police

ITANAGAR, AUG 10 : The dead body of the workers of  film and television institute (FTI) found from the fish pond of Mokomali village in Jote area has been handed over to the family members for conducting last rites. Informed Balijan Police.

The Balijan police station sources informed that an information was received at around 9 AM on Monday that a worker of the FTI Jote fell down from the site and went missing in spite of lots of searching carried by the other fellow workers. In view of late night and darkness the search operation carried by themselves was futile. On Tuesday morning the search operation was carried out and the body was found floating in a fish pond in Mokomali village in Jote area. Said police officer who was the Investigation officer.

The IO said that on late night the deceased after dinner in late night having some discussion with the fellow college and after that he went out of the site and went missing and the search began but the body was found in Mokomali village after lots of search. Investigation is being done. the IO SI T Talam said.  

Balijan PS SI T Talam said that a case has been registered at Balijan police station vide UD case no-013/2023 under section 174 CrPc and investigation has been launched. After conducting all legal formalities and order of executive magistrate the body has been handed over to the brother of the deceased for conducting last rites at his native home at Sonitpur in Assam.
