ITANAGAR,.MAY 05 : The Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) road leading to Kurung Kumey district was restored today afternoon for light motor vehicles and would be ready for heavy vehicles by late evening. Informed Kra Daadi Deputy commissioner Higio Tala.
DC informed that the TAH is the only lifeline of Kurung Kumey and Kra Daadi district has been cut off due to flash flood on Tuesday night between Palin and Old Palin township.
A WT message sent by SP Kradaadi to all concerned including Kurung Kumey district administration and others said that a portion of around 30 mtrs of Trans Arunachal Highway around 4 KM from Palin township has been disrupted for all modes of transportation between Kurung Kumey and Kra Daadi district. Due to flash flood at around 9 PM onwards in between Tin kilo and Jiri Langne area of Palin the road has been blocked. The message added.
Meanwhile, DC said that the NHIDCL was asked to clear the road and as per information the road has been cleared for light motor vehicles and by late evening the agency is trying it’s best for movement of heavy vehicles. DC added.
