NAHARLAGUN, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Advisor Tai Tagak on Friday while addressing the celebration of Donyi polo day here at Pachin said that we should always promote and preserve our deep rooted tradition and culture value and practice of Donyi polo and we should be holistic toward our culture, practice.
Tagak who was former BJP state President advocated for promotion of Donyi Polo culture & faith in our own way of life which is significance to the identity of the Tani group of people. He said.
He appeal the believers not to forget the sacrifices and struggles of our forefathers because of which we are here today, and we must protect our self-respect and pride; disconnecting from our root or source of life will weaken our forward journey the future generations may have to suffer for our today’s conveniences. He said.
We must move on doing good works with honest, responsibility and attitude; build our home out of the stones thrown on us from different quarters. Therefore, we need be more dedication and sincerity in our noble endeavor not easily fall prey to the others.
Earlier Itanagar municipal corporation (IMC) Commissioner Likha Teji speaking as Guest of honour has appealed everyone to keep their surroundings neat and clean and appreciated the Pachin Donyi Polo Nyedar Namlo Committee for inviting him to attend the function.
IMC Corporater Gyamar Tuvin, social worker, community leader and senior govt officer which include Dr. Ligu Tacho, Dr. Taba Heli, Er. Pai Dawe, Tarh Takia, Er. Tadar Mangku, Tadar Kama, Mepung Dolo, Maya Murtem, Nabam Runi, Nabam Ruja besides others dignitaries and donyi polo believers were present on the occasion.
IFCSAP State Convenor Nabam Ruja, President, Donyipolo Nyedar Namlo Committee, Pachin, Naharlagun Tadar Kama, President, Central Nyedar Namlo Committee, Rono, Doimukh, Dr Taba Heli President, Nyishi Nidum Mangjang Ralung, Er Pai Dawe among other also address the function.
