State team ‘dictating terms’ at All India Forest Sports Meet

ITANAGAR, Mar 13: Arunachal Pradesh team has been dictating terms at the 26th All India Forest Sports Meet, AIFSM-2023 (National Forest Games) being played at Panchkula in Haryana by putting in superlative show in both badminton and tennis events.

Today in the women’s singles semifinal in badminton, Taring Yania, (forest guard) bulldozed her opponent from Uttarakhand in straight sets – 21-03, 21-02

In the men’s singles semifinal, Mudo Ado (forest guard) prevailed over his rival from Madhya Pradesh 18 -21, 21-16, 21-17.

In the women’s doubles semifinal, the exciting pair of Taring Yania (FG) & Pema Ladon (forester) earned a massive win over the defending champions Andhra Pradesh in straight sets – 21-11, 21-09.

In the men’s singles in tennis, Damodhar A T (DCF Wildlife Itanagar), who is also the leader of the Arunachal contingent, entered the quarter final after smashing past his Jharkhand opponent in straight sets – 6 -1, 6-0, 6-3.
