Social worker and former ZPM H N Tedi passed away

DOIMUKH, APRIL 26: Social worker and former PRI leaders of Papum Pare district H N Tedi passed away at Tomo Riba institute of health and medical science (TRIHMS), Naharlagun on Monday. Condolences have been pouring in from several corners.

Former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki in a condolence message said that “ I am deeply saddened to know about the passing away of H N Tedi, who breathed his last on April 25 at TRIHMS, Naharlagun”, he said.

Late Tedi was elected as ZPM of Sagalee in 1980-85 and as ASM at Amba panchayat of Doimukh circle in Papum Pare district in 2003-2008. His contribution toward the society is remarkable for overall socio-economic and cultural development of Sagalee as well as Papum Pare district which will be ever remembered. Tuki said.

Late H N Tedi was a sincere, honest and a humble person. His untimely demise is a great loss for the family members in particular and society in general. Tuki added.

“ I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and loved ones and pray to almighty god to give them comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss, may his departed soul rest in eternal peace in heavenly abode”. Tuki further said.

Doimukh MLA and advisor to Minister Ah & Vety and DD Tana Hali Tara join in condoling the demise of H N Tedi, in a social media post Hali said that “ there are special people in our lives that never  leaves us even after they are gone”, “ I extend my deep condolences to the family members of the departed soul, may the departed soul rest in peace”. MLA Hali added.

Nabam Welfare Society (NWS) President Nabam Laya and general secretary Nabam Takar in a press release has said that the NWS also join in condoling the demise of the H N Tedi, In a condolence message send to this daily said that “ the Nabam Welfare Society (NWS) deeply shocked and saddened at the demise of its senior member Hina Nabam Tadi, of Amba village after a prolonged illness”.

Late Tedi born on 26th January 1947 at Khyate village in Sagalee administrative circle to Late Nabam Mazi and Late Techi Yata Nabam. Tadi was a born social worker, who always strives for the downtrodden and has underscored the value of education from the early days of his life. He is one of the pioneers who has contributed immensely to the growth of education in Papum Pare District and more particularly in Sagalee Assembly constituency. The NWS said.

Late Tedi Served as Group Leader, SSB from 1967-68, ZPM of Sagalee Zilla Parishad Constituency in the undivided Lower Subansiri district from 1980-85. He has also served as ASM under Amba Panchayat, Doimukh from 2003-2008. NWS said.

He was an epitome of knowledge, a fine gentleman and has lived throughout his life with full dignity and honour. A very straightforward and outspoken, open hearted and a man of sharp arbiter and words. Beside this, he was a god fearing person and true believer of Lord Jesus Christ. He is survived by his 3(three) wives namely Techi Yali Nabam,  Tana Yapa Nabam,  Techi Yania Nabam, 03 sons, 09 daughters, many sons-in-law, & daughters-in-law and many many grandchildren.

The Nabam Welfare Society profoundly acknowledged his immense contributions to the society in different diaspora. His guidance and discipline in life have benefitted many in their lives. On his passing away, an era has come to an end, which has caused irreparable loss to the society and is hard to fill in.

The Nabam Welfare Society(NWS) joins with the rest of the family members in mourning his death and emboldens the members to be guided by his ideals and teachings and prayed almighty to give enough strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss with courage and fortitude. The NWS President Nabam Laya and general secretary Nabam Takar added.
