NOV 6 ; The School management development committee (SMDC) and local people of Old Palin has appeal the education department to provide more support and infrastructure for smooth functioning of the Govt. Secondary school at Lumba in Old Palin of Kra Daadi district.
Speaking to press, The SMDC Chairman Dolang Tako inform that the Govt, Secondary school is catering to the needs of the area with the available infrastructure but there is lots to be done and it would be possible if the education department and state government provide more funds for creation of more classes as there is lack of class room for all the students of various classes. Though the school have teachers for all the class but well equipped classes as per modern standard is lacking behind. He said.
The school established in 1979 and upgraded to Secondary which was inaugurated in 2008 and since then many changes has been done but it is not upto the mark as per present requirement and standard. Though there is no land encroachment issue but lack of boundary fencing and boundary all and more civic amenities are required. The approach road to school is being constructed into CC pavement. Being SMDC Chairman I have been pursuing the local administration, local leaders and parents to extend helping hands and support for smooth functioning of the school and the parents teachers meeting are held time to time and the parents are very cooperative. Immediate requirement of School are class room, desk benches, room for headmaster and teaching staffs, examination control room and boundary wall. He said.
The state govt has declared year of education and in the process the Lumba Secondary may also get some more attention of the education deptt and we do have also submitted memorandum to the deptt for consideration and approval of the deptt and government. Added Tako.
Headmaster Incharge Tatung Taji the school is having 16 teachers with 99 students, the classes are from Pre-primary to Class-X. the hostel is available and as per requirement it has been allotted to boys on the request. The school is affiliated with CBSE also. He said.
More development is needed. The Head Master Incharge added.
