SIC arrested former East Siang DC Tamiyo Tatak


ITANAGAR, APRIL 22 : The state Special Investigation Cell  (SIC) Vigilance  of Arunachal Pradesh Police has arrested the East Siang former Deputy commissioner Tamiyo Tatak in connection with irregularities committed in entire process of land compensation for construction of ‘Ruksin-Pasighat’ segment of Broad Gauge Railway line from Murkongselek (Assam) to Pasighat.

Itanagar based SIC in a press release has said that the arrest was made in connection with SIC (Vig) PS Itanagar , Case no 03/2021 u/s 120B, 409, 468 and 471 of the IPC r/w Sec 13(1)(c)(d) and 13(2) of PC Act 1988, dated 15/3/202. 

During the course of investigation the allege accused Tamiyo Tatak who is an APCS and presently serving as Joint Secretary Research, has been arrested from Pasighat this (21/4/21) evening.The SIC Chief Dr. Hemant Tiwari said.

The entire matter pertains to the irregularities committed during the entire process of land acquisition (fixation of land value & disbursement of the compensation) for construction of‘ Ruksin-Pasighat’ segment of Broad Gauge Railway line from Murkongselek (Assam) to Pasighat. The SIC said.

Tatak had served as Deputy commissioner (DC) of East Siang district during 2017 when the disbursement of compensation was done and has been allege of committing irregularities in the entire process. The SIC informed.

More details and update could not be revealed as the the investigation process in this case is going on. Dr. Tiwari added.
