Naharlagun, March 29: The Aka Shotuko-Kunu and the entire Aka community mourns the demise of its former President Govardhan Nimasow. A legendary figure amongst the Akas, he was one of the founding members of the Aka Shotuko-Kunu, the apex body of the Aka (Hrusso) community.
He left this mortal world peacefully at around 1.30 am this morning at his home at Palizi, West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. The final rites shall be solemnized tomorrow with full honors at Palizi.
At this hour of grief we stand strong with the bereaved family members of Govardhan Nimasow Ji and pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Meanwhile Arunachal Pradesh former CM Nabam condoled his demise.
Tuki said in a release, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Shri Goverdhan Nimasow, a renowned social leader of the Aka community. His selfless contribution for the greater interest of his community will always be remembered. His untimely demise is a great loss for the State as a whole.”
“I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family members & loved ones and pray to Almighty God to give them comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss caused to them.
May his departed soul rest in eternal peace in heavenly abode”, he added.
