ITANAGAR, SEPT 10 : The Janata Dal United state unit President and Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Corporator of Ward No-8 Ruhi Tagung has appeal the Home department and state government to propose, approve and sanction fund for construction of permanent structure of newly inaugurated police station in capital complex with sufficient manpower.
Tagung alongwith several committee, association and school managing committee members and parents body members of various colony/sector of Ward No-8 today visited the police station at Niti vihar out of three inaugurated recently by Chief Minister Pema Khandu. The team interacted with the Officer Incharge of Niti VIhar Police station. The team of local leaders of Mowb-II, NIti Vihar, Lobi, Senki View area, Mowb-I, Lower Niti Vihar, School Managing committee of four school in the ward and senior citizens and other leaders of the area introduced themselves with the newly Officer incharge posted in the newly inaugurated PS and discussed several issue which include drug menace and other law and order issue including theft, burglary etc accidents prone area. Tagung also handed over a list of president/chairman and secretary of several organizations which include clean committee, Green committee, IMC Ward members, sector/colony welfare committee, school management committee and assured all support from the general public in maintaining law and order, peace and tranquility in the area.
Tagung requested the police officer Govind Arangham to contact and take help and support of the elected public leaders, social workers and various committees constituted by the government in maintaining rule of law and assure to help and extend support as and when required from the IMC and his team members.
Tagung thanked the chief minister Pema Khandu, home minister Bamang Felix for establishment of three police stations in the capital complex and improvement in police department and appeal for immediate proposals for converting it into permanent structure with sufficient manpower and not to function in name shake.
Further he announced to provide a TV set and a fridge for the Niti Vihar PS within a day for convenience of the police personnel’s working day and night in service of people.
