ITANAGAR, DEC 30 : Several officers and staff of PWD Highway and PWD Central Zone-B on Friday has adieu to two chief engineers Sumnyak Sumnyan and Duggum Ete who retired from the service.
Er Sumnyak Sumnyan, son of Lt. Linhang Sumnyan, born on 16.12.1962 in Kheti village of Tirap district who have carried out his early studies at RK Mission School, Narotham Nagar, Tirap and BE (Civil) from Allahabad University in 1985. A release said.
Sumnyan began his service career as Assistant engineer from February 4th 1986, promoted as Executive engineer in 1991, Superintendent engineer in 2009 and joined as SE Highway in 2010 and later as chief engineer Highway in July 30 2021.
He has been instrumental in several road construction projects in the state as SE and CE. He has been an impaneled Indian road congress (IRC) arbitrator and council member of IRC and represented state. He has been a former president of APSEA/INDEP. The release said.
The officers and staff of Highway have given warm send off to the Sumnyan on his superannuation and finally a public function was organized in which he was felicitated by the several eminent personalities.
The officers and staff of PWD Chief Engineer Central Zone-B, Pasighat also on Friday have gathered and give adieu to Duggum Ete, Chief Engineer, PWD on his superannuation.
Er Duggum Ete, Chief Engineer, joined Arunachal Pradesh, PWD as Assistant Engineer on 17th September’ 1985. He was posted as Assistant Engineer Subansiri Sub-Division Ziro. From 1987-1989, on CD ‘’A’ In 1989.
He was promoted as Executive Engineer and served at various parts of state as EE (Planning), Engineer officer and Executive engineers at Zone-II, Itanagar, Naharlagun Aalo, Yingkiong, Capital Division-B, Basar, Daporijo etc.
He was promoted as Superintending Engineer in 2008 and posted at Bobiya Circle and later at Jairampur Circle upto 2014. From 2014 to 2018, he was posted as Superintending Engineer Highways, Itanagar. From 2018 to 2021, he was posted as Superintending Surveyor of Works, North West Zone, Tawang / Superintending Engineer, Rupa Circle and finally he was promoted as chief engineer and served as Chief engineer at Central Zone-B.
