ITANAGAR, OCT 31 : We are still in NEDA and will continue with NEDA and waiting for a official announcement by NEDA Convenor. though there was some gap but for revival will continue and shall continue in NEDA for its proper existence. Said PPA President Kahfa Bengia.
There are several political party in NEDA like AGP in Assam like that in Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya and other states of the NE region so we will also decided to continue in NEDA . the PPA will always look forward the state issue and regional issues. We believe in vocal for local, we will always raise the local issue for the growth, peace, progress and prosperity of people of Arunachal Pradesh in particular and NE region in general. PPA is a good party but due to some difference some political party has taken advantage in recent past. But our trend will go smoothly so we feel that staying in NEDA is good for future. He said.
We are carrying out our party works smoothly but due to several reason we have taken up some serious decision recently for the future of the party. Previously we have witnessed on several occasion that the elected MLAs merged or join to other political party to fulfill their desire or join the ruling party. It was a bad precedence and to stop such trend we have joined the North East democratic alliance (NEDA) 2016 on July 13 in presence of Union Home minister Amit Shah and NEDA convenor Assam Chief Minister Dr Hemanta Bishwas sharma. He said.
We have already discussed at various platform and also at the highest level. We will see that for a comfortable majority the PPA has not announce any candidate and mutual understanding has been discussed. In coming election the PPA and BJP will go ahead. The PPA President said.
Secretary general Kaling Jerang inform that all the modalities is yet to be taken, the discussion is being held at highest level and after the declaration or announcement by the NEDA convenor the decision for seat sharing, pre-poll alliance, post poll alliance will be decided. He said.
The state executive has sit together twice for strengthen of the party. To began with 2024 election in alliance with the ruling party major decision will only be taken after the announcement and declaration by the NEDA convenor. We do want the development of state and welfare of its people so the PPA which is the only regional party of state have a greater role to play and at the same time our party also get strengthened for the regional aspiration and all round development.
Meanwhile, a Retired police officer from Pasighat Tani Jonkey has joined the party have been given the responsibility of Vice president and Incharge of Easter Parliamentary constituency.
