Orientation programme on STEM for girls held, DDSE lauded the initiatives of AMYAA

ZIRO, MARCH 23 : An orientation programme on science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) education for girls childrens was office chamber of DPO ISSE/SSA Lower Subansiri.The Program was initiated under IBM for girls implemented partner AMYAA Arunachal Pradesh.

Programme coordinator Subu Asha highlighted the importance of the programme  of the day. She explained about the need for such orientation among the BRC/CRCs.

AAMYA is registered society is working for the all round development of the poor tribals with a special attention towards the most vulnerable groups of the society, children, youth, women and farmers Viz,promoting development changes through creating awareness capacity building and training to establish self sustain etc.

STEM for Girls An initiative by IBM in India has launched it to improve education and career pathways for girls in schools and to change the lives of these young students.

Committed to impact 200,000 girls across India for these bright girls who have big aspirations. They want to build careers in science and technology. They want to build their own identity and certainly have a will power to make it happen.

The programme was attended by DDSE Lower Subansiri District along with BEOs and other senior officers of the education department and others.  

DDSE Tabia Chobin expressed his happiness and encouraged AMYAA NGO team to carry forward the mission and it should not be confined only to one district as the programme is important for girl children. He also said that he would assist by any kind of help from his side whenever required.
