HOLLONGI, DEC 20 : The three meritorious sports person who excel in the Asian kickboxing championship-2022 held at youth centre, Bangkok in Thailand from December 10-18 were given away with rousing welcome at Donyi-Polo airport, Itanagar on their way back home.
Hundreds of people from various walk of life gathered at the premises of Donyi-polo airport Itanagar Hollongi tow welcome the three athletic from state who take part in the championship and received medal and make proud the people of Arunachal Pradesh and country as a whole.
The executive members of Tara Aabh multipurpose welfare society (TAMWS), United Tara aabh youth foundation (UTAYF), Gumsing Masang society (GMS), Gumsing Masang society (youth wing), senior members of society, well-wishers, social workers and executive members of Kickboxing association of Arunachal (KAA) were present during the reception ceremony
Four participant take part in the championship form state in Asian kickboxing championship-2022 in senior category out of which three win medals which include NIkbia Ragit Massang (Silver), Tana Tagit Tara (bronze) and Rajiv Ali (bronze).
All the athletes interacted the media and thanks the people of Arunachal Pradesh for their blessing and assured to perform well in next event and also assured to work hard to achieve gold in time to come.
They also urged upon the state government to support and help the meritorious sports person and athletes who went to take part at national and international event. They also sought for world class indoor stadium in various parts of state so that the sports person and deserving players practice and work hard and prepare for championship.
Earlier Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Monday has congratulated the meritorious sports person form state on being win on highly competitive at both national and international level and their respective win.
Kickboxing association of Arunachal (KAA) President Bulang Marik, SAA Vice Chairman Tana Sanji Tara, social worker Nera Techi Tara also congratulate the kick boxers and bless them for future endeavors.
