Ngandam attended workshop on Pedagogical development of Wancho literary Mission

PANGHAU, MAY 4 : The Minister for RWD,Science & Technology on Wednesday has urged upon the participants of a month-long workshop on Wancho Pedagogical development on Wancho literature.at   Kamhua Noknu village  in Longding district.

Addressing the month-long workshop organised by Wancho literary mission supported by Longding battalion Assam rifle at Kamhua Noknu in Longding district.

Ngandam said that we have to work for progress and promotion of our mother tongue and accordingly we have also to learn and understand with our seniors, elders and all.those person who have vast knowledge of our past. He said.

Such platforms can make human resources and managing progress and all those who have knowledge can share their advice and knowledge and ideas to the participants. He said.

God has given knowledge to everyone equally but it is upon the human being for his utility and thinking, we should first try to learn from our parents and forefathers so that our past is known and  accordingly inform our children of our traditional values and rich cultural heritage. Ngandam said.

Wancho should grow and Wancho can grow through literature and its own language. Everyone should take their own language, tradition, culture  peacefully and we need to give services to the people so that all can grow. He said.

We should also understand and know about our own responsibility and duty and urge the respective people to shoulder their own responsibility and discharge their own duty without politicizing any issue so that everything becomes good and bright and development takes place in phase wise for a better future. He said.

We should not make mistakes and need to remain cautious and urged upon the society leaders, common people and intellectuals to share their views, suggestions and advice to the WLM Director Banban Loau so that he can add or delete the needy change and modification in time before it goes to public. Ngandam added.

Longding ZPC Lonhpong Wangham stressed the need of local language for protection and preservation of our age old tradition and rich cultural heritage of various tribes of state. Slowly the literary society can improve their system in human resources for all round development of tribes, area and state.

Wancho Literary Mission Executive Director Banbang Losu briefed about his works in preparation of Wancho literary books and now engaged in the preparation of contents. He sought support of all sections of society in making the mission successful. He said.

He said that this is the third workshop and earlier such workshops have yielded fruitful in training dozens of educated and desired youths of the district and out of which twenty of them are giving their service to the people of the district. This time we have a target of one hundred and as of today ninety are getting training for monthong training on literature as well giving their contributions to us. He added.

The oral spoken by people of lower belt can understand Upper belt in earlier days but it was slowly not understood by people of both lower and upper and this platform has been a  bridge to fill up the gap between two and slowly a single oral can be understood by the whole Wancho tribe. He further said.
Brief demonstration was done by a few students and participants. A powerpoint presentation was held on the Wancho literature mission and its journey so far.

Eminent personality, village chief  trainers also share their experiences and advise the participants and motivate them to work in mission mode for successful completion of scripture activities and also implementation on ground.
The month-long training began on April 25 to May 25.
The workshop will held training on content for textbook for Class-I to V, trained the new learner about the basic usages of Wancho script, development of Wancho- English online dictionary, etc
