Nakap Nalo reviewed the work progress of Hollongi Greenfield airport

ITANAGAR, Aug 10: The civil aviation, Transport, Tourism and Land Management minister Nakap Nalo on Tuesday reviewed the progress of the upcoming Hollongi green field airport. The meeting was attended among others by DC Yupia, secretary civil aviation, director civil aviation, GM AAI, EE PWD, Contractors of runway and boundary wall. Later talking to the press, the minister Nakap Nalo said Hollongi airport is a dream project and the state government is committed to complete it on time.

He explained in detail the progress of the work. “60 % of boundary wall construction has been completed. The progress of the runway is also satisfactory. Regarding the approach 4 lane highway, only carpeting along with drainage works remain,” informed Nakap Nalo. Reacting to the recent incident of collapse of the newly constructed boundary wall of the airport, Nalo said the department has learnt from the mistake and necessary corrections have been made. Further the minister shared that the government of India has agreed to construct 3 more ALGs in the state. “The ALGs will come up at Anini, Daporijo and Dirang. In this regard a survey team will arrive in the month of October in Arunachal Pradesh,” he added.
