NABARD Chairman flagged off Two mobile ATMs for APEX Bank

ITANAGAR, 2 Feb: Two numbers of mobile ATM vans of Apex Bank were flagged off here on Wednesday by NABARD chairman Dr G R Chintala in the presence of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and senior government and officials of the Apex Bank. The mobile vans have been provided by the NABARD.

Talking to media, NABARD chairman Dr G R Chintala who is on a 3 days tour to Arunachal Pradesh said he will top political leadership and senior bureaucrats of the state during his visit.

“I want to know what more can NABARD do for the state. Also, will visit places where NABARD has extended help in the development activities and will get ground feedback,” he said. Further he informed that NABARD is investing a lot to improve infrastructure in the state.

“This year more than Rs 400 crore has been sanctioned from NABARD to Arunachal Pradesh. We are ready to fund more in future. Also 17 micro hydel projects along the international border area have been funded by us,” added chairman NABARD.

Apex Bank Administrator, Habung Lampung said the bank has now four mobile ATM vans in operation.

“During the lockdown mobile ATM vans played an important role by going to the doors of the citizens to provide banking service. During various major festival celebrations our mobile ATM vans go to the venue and serve the customers,” said Habung Lampung.

Further he informed that Apex Bank has opened many Micro ATMs in various branches across the state.
