NAHARLAGUN, AUGUST 18 : The Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso on Thursday has appeal the denizens of capital complex to cooperated and support the agency including the department or the contractor while executing the works of public importance in various sector and colony in the entire capital complex.
Kaso while speaking to media said that it is our capital complex and there are several facilities and benefits which are made for the denizens need to be provided in later and spirit but due to hindrances and obstruction in various form including encroachment, not obeying of role of law, cleanliness and hygiene, not allowing the contractor and department in carrying out the public importance works in community and forest areas,
Capital complex is a vast area and there are hundreds of roads and arterial roads including PMGSY roads and roads has been constructed and could not last but due to obstruction, land encroachment and legal or illegal land cutting and obstruction of free flow of river and nallah course, damages to drainage system due to which the roads are damaged in various pints of time and could not last. He said.
Hundreds of colony and sector in capital complex roads are being upgraded in due course of time and in first and 2nd phase several roads has been turned to CC Pavement but still lots to be done. Today we have visited A Sector, Upper and lower police colony, helipad area, C Sector, Prem nagar, Papuhill, TRIHMS circular road and other parts of Naharlagun township with the local leaders including the IMC Corporater and find that few small measurement roads are still to be converted into the CC Pavement so we ill take up these roads and it will be converted into CC Pavement soon. In next phase we will try to bring up the drainage system in several CC Pavement roads as per department proposal. Kaso said.
Major roads has been taken and under construction and in progress and we are hopeful that we may able to complete upto 60-70 %. No outlet of toilet should be allowed to drained directly to the drainage system while no one should obstruct the drainage system and the colony/sector association authority should make complain to the concern authority so that immediate action would-be taken up individually by law. We should work together for common cause and try to save the public importance property. He said.
We should try to become the owner of the capital complex so that we can protect it from encroachment, destruction, damage from illegal activities. To keep the Itanagar capital complex clean and hygiene, peaceful and a beautiful place to live we all have to rise from our selfish needs and join hands together to make the capital city a beautiful and peaceful city to live in harmony and taste the fruit of development. Kaso said.
He also raise serious concern on the rise of drug cases in capital compel x and appeal all the denizens and resident welfare committees to work together and handle the drug cases and also take care of their Childers so that they do not involve in the bad habits and become prey of drug. Our children are future and we should not allow our future to be in dark so we all have to work together and join hands to minimize and reduce the drug abuse cases form capital complex.
Referring to construction of G+2/3 government building in Papunallah in Naharlagun and another in Itanagar after dismantling of present old and dilapeted building in a master plan of construction of housing complex, Kaso said that a proposal has been approved and tender works has also been done as per information. If construction work taken place the building may come up by next one and half years and the occupants will be allowed to get those occupation along with others. if the building occupants who are government employees need to cooperate but the employees has gone to court of law and court had directed the housing department to take up the issue and I do request the Housing department to arrange alternate accommodation for these government employees till these multistoried government accommodation come up where there would be sufficient place of parking and other activities after dismantling the old outdated buildings at Papuhill area. Kaso added.
Kaso also directed the PWD Executive Engineer Tana Nekam Tara to take up proposal for construction of drainage system wherever necessary. Kaso also appeal the denizens not to destroy public property or face legal action as administration is also watching such activities.
