ITANAGAR, APRIL 28 : The Itanagar local MLA Techi Kaso today inspected the under construction two parking lots in the city and shows satisfaction of the work progress and quality amid Covid pandemic.
Interacting the officers and contractors at host parking lot one at ESS Sector near Higher Secondary School and another at the old Arunachal Pradesh state transport station at Ganga market. Kaso said the project would have been in fast progress and it was expected that the project might be at its best level but everything has been delayed only due to Covid pandemic last year, after the pandemic the assembly election in Assam and West Bengal again delayed the project as most of the workers and labourers are from both states. After the assembly election in both states again the 2nd wave of covid pandemic has hit the state and country. He said.
The work progress is ok but we need to see the quality as the parking lot being constructed will naturally cease the parking problems in both areas near AP Civil Sectt, ESS Sector and main bust Ganga Market area Akashdeep area of the city. He said
He said I have informed my desire and wish that the work progress should not be hampered and the workforce has to be managed in any manner and directed the officers of Urban development to take care of the project and monitor the progress and quality on regular basis so that a good and mega project of the capital city come up and untilled by masses. Kaso observed.
Urban Development Capital Division Executive Engineer Gyamar Tachung informed that work progress has been hampered but now its progress is satisfactory and hope with this progress we may complete the progress in 2022, there is no scarcity of funds for both the parking lots in the city. The building will cater to the needs of parking in the locality and cease the traffic menace of Ganga Market area and ESS Sector area of city.

Later Kaso visited the Niti Vihar try junction on TT Marg where the portion of the VIP road was washed away twice. Kaso visited the spot and inspected the work progress and expressed satisfaction and said that the mega culvert is almost ready but few finishing works are to be done and hope that within a week or two the work would be completed in all respect. Kaso said.
“ I have requested the officers and contractor to carry all the finishing works and the carpeting works at the spot so that the place looks earlier and more beautiful than before and is not dangerous to the vehicular movement on the TT Marg” Kaso added.
PWD Capital Division A Executive Engineer Tana Nekam Tara informs that the agency has done a good job and the work has been done in a limited period and thanks officers for monitoring the work on a daily basis.
