Ministry of culture has approved for establishment of science centre and digital planetarium at Namsai- MP Tapir Gao

ITANAGAR, Dec 11: The Ministry of Culture Government of India has approved Rupees 26.70 crore for the construction of the Science Centre and Digital Planetarium at Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh. Informed Arunachal East Member of Parliament Tapir Gao.

Informing this, the Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao said that “ the approval was made under the scheme ‘Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS) on the request from different states as a joint initiative of Ministry of Culture GoI and the government of Arunachal Pradesh’. The approval has been made by the ministry. This proposal was initiated by the Namsai MLA Zingnu Namchoom and was pursued by me and finally got approval. He said.

“ it is a happy moment that the project has been approved and fund will be provided in phase manner”. He said.

The union minister for Tourism, Culture and development of North East Region G Kishan Reddy has confirmed his approval in a written reply on my request of the said scheme with a total cost of Rs. 26.70 crore ( 19.69 crore of centre share and 7.01 crore as state share) and Rs. 15.60 crore ( 11.52 as centre share and 4.08 as state share) respectively. He added.
