Lower Dibang valley: In a chilling incident that sent shockwaves through the community, a woman with special needs in Taloni village, Lower Dibang Valley district, Arunachal Pradesh, fell victim to a savage attack and sexual assault on the evening of October 4.
As per report, the alleged perpetrator, identified as Kyakang Warang, gained entry into the victim’s home by using the excuse of seeking shelter from the rain before heading to the labor camp where he was stationed.
Warang, a resident of Warang village in the East Kameng district, had recently relocated to Taloni village, joining a group of laborers tasked with clearing the forest. It was during this period that the tragic incident unfolded.
The family of the victim received distressing news and hurried to her residence, only to discover the offender sleeping inside. The victim, who was alone at the time, had suffered severe injuries and was in a state of shock. Her family member raised the alarm, prompting villagers to react swiftly and apprehend the suspect, who tried to escape.
