ITANAGAR, NUNE 5 : Inspired by “SWACHH BHARAT MISSION”, a social service was successfully organised by PYWS-PSU in association with the Bazar committee in the Pongchau market area on 04 June ‘ 2022.
The Social Service was enthusiastically participated by the Pongchau bazaar committee, students, shopkeepers, public and Pongchsu Students’ Union (PSU) Executive Members.
The idea of organizing the social service was to encourage and create awareness about the importance of cleanliness among the student community and the general public of Pongchau. The 4-hour long social service had a major impact on the condition of the market area. All the garbage was cleared and a proper drainage system was made by clearing all the blockages and minor repairing of damaged drain.
After having light refreshments, a brief interaction session was also organized in which the executive members of PSU highlighted the importance of cleanliness. Pongchau Students’ Union (PSU) President Shri Puman Wangsa, General Secretary Shri Angam Wangsu and Social Services Secretary Shri Matphung Naam in their brief speech emphasized on limiting the use of plastic and keeping the surroundings clean. It was followed by oath taking to continue the sprit of cleanliness.
Lastly, Pongchau Students’ Union (PSU) extended deep gratitude and thanks to all the people who participated in the social service.
