Libang inaugurated 30 bedded hospital at Bassarnallo in Sangdupota circle


BASAR-NELLO, 19 Apr: The health & Family Welfare minister Alo Libang on Monday inaugurated a new 30 bedded hospital here under Sangdupota circle of Papum Pare district in the presence of local MLA Tana Hali.Tara and elected PRI leaders and officers of the area.

Speaking on the occasion Libang expressed hope that the new hospital will deliver service to the entire people of Sangdupota circle and will fulfill the health care facility at the doorstep.

“I am feeling very happy to inaugurate this hospital. The new building has been properly constructed. I appeal to the officials of the health department posted in this hospital to make good use of the infrastructure and serve the people of the area with dedication,” said Libang.

Addressing the concern over funding issues for stalled district hospital at Doimukh, the health minister assured to work out a solution. “Due to communication gap there has been some problem over funding of the Doimukh district hospital. Along with local MLA Tana Hali Tara, we will work out a solution to complete the district hospital,” added health minister. He also said enough manpower has been deployed in the hospitals of Papum Pare and said there should not be any issue over manpower. Responding to some of demands placed by the public in a memorandum submitted to him, Libang assured to look into the appeal made for further upgradation of hospital in future. Local MLA Tana Hali in address termed the new hospital as a very important asset for the entire people of Sangdupota.  

Local leader Ngurang Changriang submitted a memorandum to the health minister on behalf of the local people.

“We desperately need one ambulance for the hospital. Also there is no accommodation for health staff. Therefore, kindly grant funds for construction of two type IV quarters for doctor and 4 bachelor barrack units,” said Changriang. He also appealed for upgradation of hospital in future.
