Itanagar, Aug 02: A grandiose opening ceremony of KVS Regional Sports Meet 2022 was organized by KV No 2 Itanagar in the school premises on 2nd August 2022. A total of 144 participants from 24 KVs of four different states- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur that come under Tinsukia region of KVS, attended the programme along with 35 escort teachers appointed by respective KVs. Padmini Singla, IAS, Commissioner, Education Department, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh adorned the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sunil Kumar Verma, Assistant Commandant, CRPF Itanagar graced the event as Special Guest. Firoz Khan, Principal, KV Kimin was also present at the programme as Observer from KVS Regional Office Tinsukia.
At the outset, the host of the programme KR Meena, Principal I/c, KV No. 2 Itanagar, welcomed all the dignitaries. It was followed by lighting of the lamps by the luminaries and a beautiful Saraswati Vandana presented by the students of KV No. 2 Itanagar. A soothing solo song and a splendid group dance performance were soon to follow.
Padmini Singla praised the performances by the students and thoroughly motivated the participants with her elegant speech. She declared the KVS Regional Sports Meet 2022 open. It was followed by the Oath taking by all the participants and lighting of the torch of KVS Regional Sports Meet 2022.
The vote of thanks was presented by Aikansh Guneta, Senior Most PGT, KV No 2 Itanagar. The magnificent opening ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
