KARSINGSA, JAN 04 : The PWD Minister’s Advisor (West Zone) and MLA Phosum Khimhun on Thursday has asked the contractor of the road construction agency of Package-B and C in capital complex to carry out the works in day and night basis in working season. If the work is carried out smoothly the majority of works may be completed in working season without much problem to the commuters and works as well.
The PWD Ministers Advisor Khimhun with the team of officers of Highway department, authority engineers, representative of the Package-B & C of NH-415 has carried out the inspection to the stretch of road from Papunallah to Karsingsa. The inspection which began early morning was carried out till afternoon.
Speaking to media, Khimhun said that today we visited as a team to oversee the ongoing works of Package-B & C. In package B out of 147 pillars of flyover 60 is the target of March and till today they have started a good beginning. The stretch form NRL Petrol pump to River view hotel is very slope and a special works of lowering the road level is neede. There are hardly few hindrances not like earlier of PHED, Power and other and they can do the works of their own. May be due to traffic movement they might be facing some problem but we cannot stop the smooth flow of the traffic movement by the works should go on smoothly. He said.
During eh box cutting near NRL Petrol pump and Hotel River view we can do something to divert the traffic movement and arrange the bypass road for the traffic movement. He said.
After the completion of the Package-B & C where there is Viaduct bridge, flyover, underpass and everything and it may change the face of Itanagar Capital city. He said.
I have asked the highway authority to carryout proper repair and maintenance of the road damaged in recent flood and heavy rainfall on NH-415. He said.
With regard to Package-C as per observation and officers has informed that the work is in full progress and the work is also in fast track. He said.
I have further asked them to carry out the works day and night basis and the state government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu is ready to share all support and cooperation so that the NH-415 become one of the beautiful and best road of state. He added.
Meanwhile, Highway Chief Engineer Robin Nani has informed that today we have inspected the work progress of the Highway and also several others issue of thee NH-415 Package-B & C form Papunallah to Karsingsa. We have seen almost all the stretch and interacted with the officers at various point of constriction agency representatives. Necessary direction has been issued to the officers and officials as well as representatives of the both the contractor of Package-B & C were present. he said.
Necessary direction has also been issued with regards to the repairing and maintenance of the damaged portion of the highway due to floods and heavy rainfall in city. Though repairing has been done and they will ensure that it is repaired properly. Said Chief Engineer Robin.
29% has been achieved till today and is lagging behind with regards to Package-B. the contractor of package-B has been asked to carryout day and night shift so that the major portion of works are carried out in the working season. The service road is necessary and it can be used by the commuters as well as the contractor so we have been insisting for service road so that the work in township area can be taken up without much hindrances’ of the traffic movement. He said.
I have suggested the contractors for proper barricading and start working in the working zone and carryout the work in day and night shift basis. The Highway CE said.
The Nirjuli-Kankarnallah stretch four lane is almost completed. With regards to the bridges in Package-B the Chief Engineer inform that Borpani bridge is remaining and abutment on one end has began, the minor bridge like Logun bridge is also completed, the abutment of Kankar nallah bridge has been completed on both side and one bridge at Nirjuli is in progress. The NH-415 Package-C is in full progress and as per work progress is 73% and hope the work of package-C is completed ahead of schedule and the work at Package-B also improve and reached to the target. CE Robin further said.
As per information the package-B has reached to the target of 29.17 % and Package-C has reached to target of 73.16 %. Out of 147 pillars of flyover 10 in progress and target has been given for 60 till March 2024. There are one major bridge and four minor bridge in package-B form Papunallah measuring 11.29 KM. the flyover length is 3.95 KM from Papunallah to Kankarnallah.
With regards to Package-C from Nirjuli to Banderdewa measuring 7.503 Km. the viaduct bridge ai measuring around 1.080 metres. The contractor has reached to 73.16 % target and milestone. 21 nos of slabs has been casted out of 54. All the pillars has been completed with 95 guarders has been launched as of now. The road works has almost has been completed with three nos of minor bridges has also been completed. The lone major bridge Nirjuli church is nearing completion.
