Tirap, Jan 22: Today, the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) crucial for supplying water to the newly shifted Old Subang Village under the Deomali block was inaugurated.
The Minister of PHE & WS, DoTCL & IT, Wangki Lowang, presided over the inauguration ceremony. The event witnessed the presence of ADC Deomali, ZPM, Heads of Departments of Deomali Subdivision, along with various panchayat leaders, GBs, SHG members, and villagers.
The water supply scheme dedicated to Old Subang is recognized as one of the most challenging projects in the Tirap district, addressing the critical need for water in the area.
“I am honored to inaugurate the Water Treatment Plant, a crucial step for Old Subang Village’s water needs. This collaborative effort reflects our commitment to improving lives through sustainable solutions”, said minister Lowang.
The habitation was relocated to a nearby area, enabling a more accessible water supply from the newly inaugurated Water Treatment Plant.
