ITANAGAR, MARCH 4 : The Gumsing-Masang society (GMS) on Saturday has pledge to work for social upliftment and community development for all round development of state and its people.
The society in its executive body meeting held here at its head office at Gopur Tinali in city has discussed various issues confronting the community, tribe and society as a whole. Several sub committee has been formed to tackle up issued related to dispute among the community, society and others is, Dispute redressal committee, women wing, youth wing so that every committee work together for rapid development of the community and tribe as a whole.
Speaking on the occasion, the GMS Chairman Sangha Babung Masang said that most of the clan members reside in remote and far-flung circle of Kurung Kumey, Upper Subansiri district and others and are backward and economically backward so it is need of hour that they come forward and avail several sponsored schemes of government as required. It is also mandatory that education and health facility need to enhanced and benefited by the clan members. He Said.
Youth of today are future of tomorrow so it is necessary that the youths have to play a greater responsibility for the nation development and welfare of people and at the same time he urge upon the youths to stay away from the cloth of drug which has been damaging the precious life of the youth.
Former ZPC Kurung Kumey, Sangha Tagik Masang, Generals secretary Lojen Singkom Gumsing among other adders the function.
The new executive body takes oath of affirmation and appointment letters were given away on the occasion and all pledge to work for the welfare of community, tribe and society and also work against drug addiction among the youths.
