ITANAGAR, AUG 26 ; The ongoing protest and dharna by the agitating Itanagar Traffic Warden (ITW) continue for fourth day here at IG Park to press their two point charter of demand which include job security and other.
The protest continue for fourth day by more than 150 agitating ITW in uniform and could not make any headway but on Thursday the Home & Border Affairs Minister Bamag Felix during the inauguration of the Dy SP Traffic cell office here at Itanagar Police station campus on being requested by the Capital MLA Techi Kaso for a solution of the ongoing agitation by the ITW, the Home Minister informed the gathering that the Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Talo Potom has been directed to talk to agitators ITW at IG Park for last four days and clear the deadlock.
He said that the traffic wardens are not in the Home deptt and were under the ADM for several purposes and slowly they were given the name of ITW and till date the ITW is under Capital administration. We all know about the grievances and everything can be known after proper discussion. The DC has been directed to talk to them and find out how the state government intervention is required for a solution. The Home Minister added.
Earlier Techi Kaso said that whatever the issue of the ITW needs to be heard and taken into account and any resolution needs to be taken to defuse the dharna which has been underway for the last few days. It is a matter of concern that they have been on dharna. He said.
The ITW has also learned many things in maintaining the traffic law and has been serving the people of the capital complex for the last many years and urged upon the state government to resolve the issue. Kaso added.
