Former President of Wancho Council and Six Others Join Indian National Congress in Arunachal Pradesh

Sompha Wangsa, the former President of Wancho Council, along with Puchat Arangham, Mankhaw Wangsa, Katwang Wangsa, Chahkai Loham, Nokmai Wangsa, and Wanglam Wangjen, all hailing from the 58-Kanubari Assembly Constituency, officially joined the Indian National Congress (INC) today.

The momentous occasion took place at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Itanagar, in the presence of Nabam Tuki, the President of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC).

The joining programme was also attended by other key members of the party, including Bosiram Siram, the Working President of APCC, Bem Maching and Kon Jirjo Jotham, General Secretaries of APCC, Taba Tagam, Secretary of APCC in charge of Longding, and Thangkai Khusumchai, the President of District Congress Committee (DCC) in Longding District. The influx of these prominent figures is expected to bolster the party’s presence in the region and could have significant implications in the political landscape of Arunachal Pradesh.
