ITANAGAR, JUNE 26 : The former Home Minister and a senior political leader of state on Monday has joined the Indian national congress at AICC office, New Delhi. Informed APCC Working president and former Minister Bosiram Siram.
Siram while speaking to this daily over phone said that the veteran political leader and former Home Minister of state Kumar Waii on Monday has joined congress at AICC Office presence of AICC General secretary KC Venugopal under the initiative of AICC Incharge Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya Manish Chatarjee and senior leader and former Minister Tanga Byaling. The AICC leader has welcome Kumar Waii. He said.
We have also meet the AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and discuses all about the party issue in state, AICC President has also welcome Waii and express satisfaction on joining of Waii to congress. In future the congress will flourish in state and expected that befitting and tough fight to ruling BJP in state and also strengthened the party at grassroots level. Said Bosiram.
With the joining of Waii will boost up the moral of the party leaders in state and at the same time the party will be strengthened. We were also present on the occasion and we also welcome Kumar Waii to the congress family. Added Bosiram.
The former Home Minister Kumar waii termed his joining to congress as homecoming and said that I have been in congress for decades and will work for the party as a dedicated shoulder. I shall always look forward the duty and responsibility entrusted by the party leadership and will carry with full dedication and sincerity and at the same time I will work for strengthening of the party in state. He said.
With my joining several others will follows and come to cone umbrella and will work for the 2024 election ahead. Added Kumar Waii.
I am coming back to state and will meet the party leaders and media on Wednesday at the party headquarter. Kumar Waii further said.
It is to mention that Kumar Waii has been MLA for several times from Bameng assembly constituency of East Kameng district . Waii contested 2019 assembly constituency form NPP party and lost his election from the BJP candidate.
