PISTANA, AUGUST 11 : The IT & E-governance Chairman Nich Doni and Entrepreneur Likha Maj on Thursday kickoff weeklong sporting event for several panchayats of Pistana and Deed circle at Pistana ground in view of Azadi ka amrit mahotsava and 75th independence day celebration to be held on August 15.
Several sporting events which include volleyball, archery, tug of war and other rural and traditional sports to encourage the rural youths and to include the youths of rural area in games and sports and mainstream activities. The weeklong event has been organized by Pistana independence celebration committee under the chairmanship of Circel officer & ZPM supported by PRI leaders and HoDs of the circle.
IT & E-governance Chairman Nich Doni and entrepreneur Likha Maj and Yachuli ZPM Joram Elyu attended the kickoff ceremony as chief guest, guest of honour and special guest respectively.
Chief Guest Nich Doni motivated the youths to play the games and sports in true spirit and bring name and fame of the family, village, panchayat, circle, district and state in respective field. He also emphasis the players and participants to celebrated the Azadi ka amrit mahotsava and also become nationalist and serve for the motherland and support the government for all round development.
Guest of honour Entrepreneur Likha Maj in his address highlighted the need of hard labour to achieve the goal andbecoem aaatma nirbha, he emphasis playing of nay games and sports will not only bring laurel with name and fame but can get employment opportunity of the state government in various department if win the national and international events in their respective sporting discipline. The sports is becoming an industry and therefore once can also adopt it as a career. Maj said.
He inform the gathering that the upcoming Mega Food park near Banderdewa will give ample opportunity for the hundreds of farmer community to sell their product and announced an amount of Rs. 10 lakhs for the farmers community of Deed and Pistana on buy-back policy for the raw materials of the upcoming food park. Maj said.
Lower Subansiri ZPC Likha Sangchhore, Pistana ZPM N L Tabo, Pistana Circle officer Nikrun Bui address the gathering.
Yachuli ADC Toko Babu, BJP Lower Subansiri district President, Yachuli Mandal president, BJP leaders, PRI leaders, GBs, general public and others attended the kick off ceremony.
19 teams of various panchayats of Deed and Pistana are takgn part and the prizes will be distributed on the occasion of 75th Independence Day celebration on August 15 wherein the local MLA and Education Minister Taba Tedir and host of dignitaries will attend the celebration.
Both the chief guest Doni extended help for repairing of guest house and procurement of desk benches for the secondary school while guest of honour supported the celebration committee for weeklong azadi ka amrit mahotsave and sporting events.
