DC Calls Meeting to Enhance Quality of Education in Tawang Govt Schools

Tawang, 18 July: In a concerted effort to uplift the standard of education in government schools across Tawang district, Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang convened a crucial meeting today. The meeting was attended by esteemed officials including Addl.DC Lungla, Tashi Dhondup, Addl.DC Jang RD Thungon, EAC Kyidphel Tsering Chedon, and DDSE Tawang Hridhar Phuntsok, along with all the school adopters from Tawang and Kyidphel block.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Darang stressed the importance of giving back to society by actively participating in its development. He urged the school adopters to prioritize academic achievements alongside addressing the material requirements of their respective schools. As part of their commitment, the adopters were requested to visit their assigned schools at least once a month and submit progress reports.

To ensure regular monitoring and evaluation, DDSE Tawang was directed to convene quarterly review meetings involving all headmasters and teacher in-charges from each school in their respective sub-divisional headquarters, under the guidance of the Assistant Deputy Commissioners.

DDSE Tawang also appealed to the school adopters to actively engage in school assemblies and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meetings. Furthermore, he recommended the inclusion of a specific column in the adopters’ reports, reflecting their initiatives and contributions towards the overall development of the schools.

During the meeting, various participants shared their suggestions on how to enhance the quality of education in government schools, emphasizing the need for collective efforts and innovative approaches.
