Cyclone hit Jairampur township, restoration work in progress

ITANAGAR, Apr 17 : A cyclone which hit the Jairampur township of Changlang district has damaged several dwellings and block roads, snapped the power supply in the area.

Nampong MLA Laisam Simai when contacted informed that the cyclone which hit the Jairampur township late night and the intensity was not so heavy that’s why the damage was less. There is no loss of life and injury. Said MLA Simai.
Though the trees which falls on the main road in the township has been cleared the traffic movement was allowed while ADC Jairampur Kretkam Tikhak who has been asked to take stock of the loss of property and assessment and submit it to higher authority for further action. Said MLA Simai.

Though the power supply has not been restored as of now but the restoration work in in progress and hope that the power supply is also restored to the Jairampur township.

ADC Jairampur when contacted inform that the administration has visited the damaged site and direction has been issued to all concern to restored to normalcy. All activities has been restored while restoration work for power supply in underway. The assessment report will be submitted to DC Changlang on tomorrow
Reportedly 10-15 houses has been damaged of which three has been badly damaged. Few public and private and public property has also been damaged as per information including cattle’s.
