BJYM team visited Shi Yomi district and pays tribute to martyr Tape Yajo

ITANAGAR, Dec 24: The Arunachal  Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state unit team led by its president Ritemso Manyu on Sunday reached Monigong in Shi-Yomi district on Sunday to witness the Yuva Samvad Yatra.

The BJYM state office-bearers team attend various day long programme has also attended the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme and interacted several youths and leaders and shared their views and world of advice to use and avail the benefits of several centrally and state sponsored scheme of the BJP goveremnt.

The team on its way to Monigong paid rich tribute at the memorial of Amarveer Naik Tape Yajo and ‘Martyr Tape Yajo Dwaar,’ and remember the leaders of country for their sacrifice. Yajo, who hailed from Karo village of Pidi circle, served in the Indian army with distinction for over 12 years. He attained martyrdom during an operation in Poonch sector of Jammu & Kashmir on September 21, 2008. Despite being wounded and bleeding profusely, he charged the terrorists at close range. His bravery motivated his comrades and in the ensuing close combat, he and his team killed three hardcore terrorists. His gallant action led to the elimination of the terrorists without causing further damage to the nation. Being grievously injured, Naik Tape Yajo succumbed to his injuries and laid down his life on September 22, 2008.

Considering his gallant action, bravery and supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation, Naik Tape Yajo was awarded the second highest peacetime gallantry award of the nation, the Kirti Chakra posthumously.

BJYM state president Ritemso Manyu informed that such several visit to the border district which has been taken up earlier shall continue till all the border villages, circles are covered and able to meet them and informed about the hundreds of beneficiaries scheme of the state and central government for the welfare of people and development of the area.
