APYC defer dharna protest for release of detainee under APUAPA following the release of 18 detainees. 

ITANAGAR, May 30: The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) postponed its scheduled one day sitting dharna protest on demand of release fo detainee detained under APUAPA Act during, before and after the 72 hours bandh call in connection with 13 point charter of demand place before the government. 

Following the release of eighteen detainees in connection with 72 hours bandh call on APPSC paper leakage fiasco. The decision to postpone the dharna at Tennis court IG Park was taken as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Talo Potom on Monday evening assured to release the detainees, said President APYC Tarh Jhony.

Meanwhile, APYC appealed to the home department to release the rest of the detainees at the earliest, to avoid any kind of public’s stir over the non release of them, added  Jhony.

Appealing the ruling government to refrain from using this acts against the innocent people, who have nothing to do with the bandh call and stop practice pick and choose detention,   APYC claimed that creation of APUAPA was agreed by most of the MLAs and council of ministers by congress and now is in BJP government.

Meanwhile, the capital Deputy Commissioner informed that the release was executed under the recommendation of home department and by the advisory board of Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 2014.  

In due course of time the rest of the detainees would be released with the convenience of board and department of home, assured DC.

The National People’s Party and APYC and All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has already appeal the capital district administration and state government  to show leniency upon the detainees and the members of PAJSC,
