Itanagar, Jan 23: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) expressed gratitude towards the Itanagar Police for their relentless pursuit and successful apprehension of Majibur Rahman, alias Atabur Rahman, the prime suspect in the Akashdeep twin murder case. The accused had managed to escape from jail, leading to an extensive 11-year manhunt.
SP Rohit Rajbir Singh and his dedicated team were lauded by the society for their meticulous efforts that led to the arrest of the proclaimed fugitive.
Majibur Rahman was wanted in connection with a heinous crime involving the rape and murder of two sisters.
In a statement, the society emphasized the importance of continuous vigilance by the police to prevent the recurrence of such atrocities in the state. The successful resolution of this case is seen as a significant step towards ensuring justice for the victims and their families.
