APTUF defer its phase wise democratic movement for next 45 days

ITANAGAR, OCT 2 : The Arunachal Pradesh trade union federation who has earlier announced a serious of democratic movement to press their charter of demand before the state government has announced to defer their agitation activities for next 45 days.

Announcing the decision, the APTUF secretary general  Kenkar Yomcha inform the media at Arunachal press club (APC) that  our agitation process has been deferred for next 45 days after we have received a written letter from the department of labour & employment was received and basing on the invitation we have a meeting and we placed our charter of demand to the authority of the government. the meeting was attended by Secretary Labour & Employment Taru Talo, Arunachal Pradesh energy development agency (APEDA) Director M Bam, Labour commissioner Khoda Hinda, Labour officer Gyamar Tajik, APTUF President Changma Tajo and secretary general Kenkar Yomcha respectively and discussed various issue and charter of demands of the memorandum submitted earlier. He said.

The meeting was held at the office of secretary labour & employment. With regard to the removal of the APEDA Chairman the APEDA Director has informed that the matter has already been processed on file for the appropriate decision of the authority and the request to defer the proposed strike till the decision of the authority. He said.

Even if the proposed agitation and dharna has been defer our charter of demand will remain as it is which include enhancement of grade pay of WC employees including WC computer operator from Rs. 1900-2400, creation of one time WC post in every engineering department, exclusion of MTS post form APSSB interview and exam, regularization of contingency staffs those who have completed 15 years and above services in department, reservation against appointment of elected leader or non trade union leader as Chairman of APB&OCWWB and not to appoint elected leader but after completion of three years tenure we will recommend one suitable leader to the department and government for consideration. Implementation of statutory benefits for the registered workers of APB&OCWWB like house loan, tool advance, old age pension, marriage assistances, education assistance, accidental assistances, handicapped/disability benefit, funeral benefits, maternity assistances, death beneficiary and natural calamity benefit etc as provided by the board, He said.

However we appreciate the state government led by chief minister Pema Khandu for raising the monthly salary of the workers community and hope that the salary should be hiked some ore so that they workers community can maintain their monthly required as per the market rate increased on all essential items of the household use of family.   

The democratic movement which was propose from Oct 4 has been deferred and the next date of democratic movement. may be announced after the expiry of next 45 days and we will have to wait for next 45 days to witness and observe that the state government take necessary action as per charter of demand. The APTUF Secretary general Yomcha added.
