ITANAGAR, APRIL 10 ; The Arunachal Pradesh Tour operations Association (APTOA) today meet the 3 femals bikers who has been touring all the north eastern states of country promoting the oneness, communal harmony and brotherhood.
APTOA President, John Panye informed that first time 3 Female Bikers toured 7 NE States in 7 days. These 3 women bikers ventured the challenging adventure with the theme, “breaking stereotype and redefining north east”. The 3 bikers namely Nirmali Nath from Assam, Onen Nenty of Nagaland and Rosalynn Lushai from Mizoram reached Itanagar on 9th April 2021. They traveled from Guwahati to Shillong then Silchar-Agartala-Aizawal-Imphal-Dimapur-Tezpur and to Itanagar and back to Kaziranga, covering a distance of 2500km riding 300-400 km daily. he said.
Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators Association APTOA warmly welcomed them in Itanagar with felicitation and hosted their breakfast before completion of tour in Kaziranga National park on 10th April 2021. The APTOA President alongwith Treasurer Michi Rajen extended warm greetings and appreciated the courage and challenging attitudes the young girls on behalf of the stakeholders and Arunachal Tourism.
He said that our youths of North East states should venture out of the box confining ourselves and explore the beautiful places and people in promoting to the outside world for growth of tourism sector in this region. The wrong concept about NE States as often heard as insecure, inhospitable, uncivilized will surely defeat the apprehension by the challenging acts of these young girls riding bikes alone in whole of North East states. He said.
The three girls embarking such tours said that it aims at shedding the stereotype about women who are mostly confined inside the four walls of the house. The tour is about breaking the age old and outdated belief as well as portraying NE States as safe destination for all types of tourists. They also further added that their aim also at promoting sisterhood among the 7 NE States. The APTOA President added.
