DOIMUKH JULY 31 : The 4th Arunachal Pradesh shooting Championship-2023 which was held from July 29 and 30 of which the prizes were distributed on Monday at Shooting range here at RGU campus in Doimukh.
The championship was organised by Arunachal Pradesh rifle Association (APRA) under the chairmanship of Chukhu Apa, IPS and DGP incharge and Teli Jackey Camdir as Secretary and prizes were distributed to the winners of all siz catogery.
In junior(women) 10 metre Air rifle Amrita Rai beg gold, Yader Talom recieved silver medal, in senior (women) 10 metre Air rifle Toyir Babla recieved Gold, Senior (women) 10 metre pistol rifle shooting in which Nabam Yamin beg gold while Nabam Yeni beg silver, in senior (man) 10 metre pistol rifle Tadar Pakak beg gold, Taba Begi silver while Teli Pol Camdir recieved bronze medal, in master (man) 10 metre pistol rifle Tapak Taksing recieved the gold medal, in senior (Man) 1p metre air rifle catogery Babul Hazarika, Tao Topu, Natong Borang beg gold, silver and bronze respectively.
Addesaing the players and meters, the DGP Incharge and APRA President Chukhu Apa said that it is an important occassion and we allmost are here. Th prizes has been distributed but at the same time we have another challenge to to participate in the zonal championship which will be held at Shollong in next month. We have to prepare ourselves for the upcoming zonal championship and ask the players to carry daily exercises to remain fit amd fine with a healthy body and sound mind.Said Apa.
We should discourage the hunting and our sole motto should be to stop the hunting and killing of birds and animals including the wild animals. We should also able to handle the weapon properly for which anyone should learn to handle the rifle properly to avoid any accident which has been witnessed in paste. He said.
The aim to get gold silver and bronze by our experience and the concentrating of mind should be to create target and win the medals and bring laural for ourselves amd for the state and country. Added Apa.
APRA vice president and irganising secretary Jackey Teli Camdir and other executive members and winners share their views and advice to the players.
