APCA organize eye camp, 300 patient benefited

ANINI, OCT 25 ; The Arunachal Pradesh catholic association on Wednesday has organise eye camp at Anini in Dibang valley district. 300 locals has been benefited on the occasion.

The Dibang valley Deputy Commissioner Pagli Sora  inaugurated the eye camp had lauded the efforts of the APCA for organizing the mega camp and hope that such camp will not only help the locals in getting the medical checkup but also benefited the patients in many ways to keep them their health upto date and can know how to maintain a good health with an healthy eyesight.

Speaking to media, the Anini DC Sora said that though the health infrastructure has been upgraded but there is acute need of medical specialist for dental, ophthalmic and others as the distrct hospital have very less medical specialists to cater to the needs of patient of the district.

The DC further hope that everyone should come up for such health camps so that everyone from the district can able to avail the benefit of the medical camps and medical support of administration, government and NGOs like of APCA.  

APCA President Taw Tebin inform that such a medical camp was organize in last year  which has motivate us to organsie such camp which was much needed. This camp was really much benefited the locals as a heavy turnout was witnessed. Around 300 patients were registered on the day and everyone was benefited by way of spectacles, power glasses, medicines and medical tests etc. The support of the district administration led by DC Pagli Sora, DMO Incharge Dr Rita Mena. Local leader and others. 

Dr Taw Dipu of TRIHMS and Dr Taba Khana of Directorate of Health services with support of Anini district health society were engaged in providing medical facility to the patent of Anini at the eye camp. 

The camp was organsie at District hospital, Anini where normal patients were also the patients were benefited though the camp. Added APCA President Taw Tebin.

State Nodal officer on control of blindness Dr. Taba Khana said that due to non availability of ophthalmology and eye doctor in district it has been found several patients with complain of cataracts. Many patients were given away with spectacles, medicines and some of them given away with advice and suggestion as how to keep the eye clean and good condition. 

There is a need of cataract operation but there is no facility at Anini District hospital so we have to come again either at Anini with all other facility for eye operation or else they will be taken to Roing district hospital and operation is done there. We are planning for such operation and soon a decision will be taken for carrying out operation so that the eye patients of Anini area are given away with better treatment
