AKA celebrated silver jubilee, state level under 21 years and senior state level championship

NAHARLAGUN, OCT 17 : The Arunachal Karate-do association  (AKA) celebrated its silver jubilee celebration and three days under 21 year and senior state level championship concluded here at Dree ground in city.

The championship has witness competition and fight in kumete and khata and more players from district of state tae part and played in several disciplines.

Educational and cultural affairs Minister Taba Tedir and former MLA Rughu  Tado was chief guest and guest of honour respectively. The chief guest and guest of honour and other dignitaries give away the medal, prizes and certificates to the winners. The dignitaries also address the gathering, motivated the players and express the happiness on being completion of 25 years of journey of AKA in state and for grooming thousands of boys and girls from state and others.who are serving in various post and department and also promoting the karate in various parts of state and country as well.

The chief guest Minister Taba Tedir assured all support to the players who are going to take part in national games at Goa and also those who are interest to take part in international gemes and sports across the globe to bring laurel for state and country. .

Lower Subansiri ZPC Likha Sangchhore, Arunachal Olympic association secretary general Bamang Tago, ZPM Nili likha Tabo, Nabam. Piju, Khyoda Dipu, businessman Taba Apa, members of other sports association among others were present on the occasion.

Floral tribute were given to karatakas those who passed away.

Al the medal winners, technical officials, senior state level and international level players, former and present executive members of the AKA, international achievers were felicitated and mementos were given away as a token of memory. 

The team of East Kameng were declared winners, Kurung Kumey remain runners-up while Upper Suabnsiri was decaled as bets discipline team. 

The East Kameng beg a total of 28 medals with 15 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze. Kurung Kumey beg 18 medal with 7 each gold and silver and 4 bronze, Upper Subansiri with 18 medal with 1 gold, 2 silver and 15 bronze followed by SAI with 14 medal, Itanagar capital complex with 12 medals, followed by Papum Pare, West Kameng and others.
